Household Hazardous Waste

The 2013 Household Hazardous Waste Collection in Windsor Locks will be held on
Saturday, October 26, 2013.  Collection hours are 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

What Can I Bring?
Many common materials found in your home are classified as hazardous and should never be placed in your trash or rinsed down the drain.  If you don't intend to use something on this list, bring it to a household hazardous waste collection for proper disposal.  See a list of commonly accepted items below.

Garage and Workshop
Alkaline, lithium and rechargeable batteries
Antifreeze
Brake and transmission fluid
Fluorescent and energy-efficient bulbs
Gasoline and diesel fuel
Kerosene and No. 2 fuel oil
Mercury thermostats, thermometers and switches
Oil based paints
Paint strippers/thinners and turpentine

Kitchen and Sink
Aerosol cans
Ammonia
Disinfectants
Floor care products
Oven and drain cleaners
Wood and metal polishes

Yard and Hobby
Adhesives, epoxy products and glues
Artists paints
Charcoal lighter fluid
