Public Works Department Offices remain CLOSED to the Public 

Most business can be handled via telephone - please call the office telephone # with questions at: 860-627-1405.   If your call isn't answered right away, please press ZERO and leave a message.  The phone is being answered 8am - 3pm, Monday thru Friday.

The garage is open every Saturday from 8am until Noon for Recycling.  Residents of Windsor Locks may bring the following items in for recycling:

ousehold electronics, batteries, used motor oil, & scrap metal. 

Residential compost permits are not being issued in 2020.   Click here to be directed to the Compost Site information page.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Town Buildings, Town Garage, WPCA, Sewerage, Highways, Rights of Way, Parks, Public Lands, Drainage, Leaf Compost Site and the collection of Waste and Recycling.  The umbrella of Public Works includes the staff of Highways, Parks, Buildings, WPCA and Administration.

Saturday 8:00 am - Noon (Only the garage is open on Saturday)

Refuse and Recycling Information:
The Town does not own or operate vehicles necessary for the pick up and removal of Municipal Solid Waste or Recycling.  All American Waste is the Private Hauler used for these services.  All American Waste can be reached at 860-289-7850.
