Federal & State (Presidential) Election November 3, 2020

DISTRICT 1 - Windsor Locks Town Office Building, 50 Church Street, Windsor Locks, CT  06096

DISTRICT 2 - Windsor Locks High School, 58 South Elm Street, Windsor Locks, CT  06096

The Town of Windsor Locks is divided into two voting Districts.  The area of town North of Elm Street is District 1 and registered voters go to the Town Hall at the address listed above to vote.  The area of town South of Elm Street is District 2 and registered voters go to the Windsor Locks High School at the address listed above to vote.  

In order to help reduce unnecessary wait times on Election Day (11/3/2020) for Election Day Registration (EDR), we are encouraging any non-registered person who wants to vote in the November 3rd election to register to vote as soon as possible.

There are several ways to register to vote for your convenience.  They are:

o  Registering on line.  Go to the Windsor Locks Web site.  Click on Departments and click Registrar's of Voters.  From there you can register on line without leaving     your home.

 o  Register through the State of Connecticut.  Go to, click on Elections and Voting, scroll down to:  Register to vote online and follow the                       instructions.

o  Come in to the Registrar's of Voters office and register in person.  We are located in Town Hall at 50 Church Street.  We are open to the public every Tuesday &         Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

o  Give us a call  at 860-654-1619 and we can mail you a registration application for you to complete and either mail back to us or drop it off at your office at 50             Church Street.


  •  be a United States citizen;
  •  be a resident of a Connecticut town;
  •  be at least 17 years old (must turn 18 before election day)
  •  have completed confinement and parole if previously convicted of a disfranchising felony


Absentee ballots are available for any election, primary or referendum, and can be obtained from the Town Clerk's office.

Absentee ballots are available to qualified voters unable to vote on voting day for the following reasons:

o COVID-19 - All voters are able to check this box, pursuant to Publice Act 20-3 July Spec. Sess.

o Illness or phyusical disability

o Absence from town during all voting hours

o Religious beliefs forbidding secular activity on voting day

o Serving as an election official

o Active service in the Armed Forces
